Apple lists 156 of its suppliers in 2012 'responsibility report'
For the first time, Apple listed all 156 of its suppliers and manufacturing partners as a part of its "Supplier Responsibility 2012 Progress Report." The report, which is issued annually, detailed Apple's efforts to monitor its suppliers to make sure they're operating within legal codes and its own policies regarding environmental standards, occupational health and safety, and human rights.

New workplace rules cover credit checks, social media
California employers and employees have a variety of rules to learn with the enactment of new laws that cover credit checks, dress codes and social media. More than 120 business owners, managers and human resources officials gathered Thursday at the River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard, where attorneys Steven P. Lee and Roy Schneider outlined some of the major legislation set to take effect this year.
